So today was my post MRI plan of action appointment. But right now I have no plan of action. Of course the MRI place didn't send the films over to my RE. All she had was a written report describing the uterus as healthy and without fibroids. That was good news to me. But then it went on the say that my fallopians tubes were swollen and distorted (hydrosalpinx), and in that in that case she would need to tie the off (sterilization) and then IVF would be next. What??? So my RE thinks the report is wrong and rightly wants to see the films. She will go to the MRI place and look them over with the radiologist. Then will call me later this week with the real results. Since my HSG showed that my tubes were normal, and her recent ultrasounds showed that there is definitely something in my uterus she thinks that the report is off base. So I guess I have to wait until Friday.
But here are the possible outcomes
1. They reviewed the wrong films
2. I still have a fibroid
3. I have scar tissue from my past surgeries
4. I have hydrosalpinx
5. I have some other abdominal abnomily

oh wow, how stressful!! I hope this all gets staightened out soon and you get some answers!
here from ICLW
I am so sorry that is so stressful to not know. I hope your Dr gets back to you soon.
i am sorry to hear this news.
i had an HSG and both tubes appeared to be open and fine. about a year later, we had a lap done and it showed one hydrosalpinx on my left tube. the RE recommended we clip it, however did not do it since he didnt have permission prior to the lap. we were referred to a military RE and he did the lap again and clipped the tube - said IVF would be pointless if the fluid kept draining into the uterine cavity.
i hope that the report is indeed incorrect! the best way to truely find out is to have the lap done.

Oh crap. What a pain. I hope you get some answers soon.
Wow, that's a lot to have to deal with!
I hope your dr. gets the information soon, and can let you know exactly what's going on!
Hugs to you as you wait.

Oh my gosh! How frustrating! I'm glad the doctor's checking the original films--hope it's all figured out soom!
. . . and my husband, who's reading over my shoulder, was so incensed he wanted to comment too!
Here he is: This drives me NUTS!!! This is totally representative of healthcare today. The test results were examined as an afterthought! The results statement is not comprehensive and the actual film -- for the cost of a RW DVD -- about 20 cents!!! isn't included for a second opinion. You paid for the whole thing -- the film AND the supposedly "expert" opinion. And where are the consequences for the bozo that provided the half baked results statement? My physician aquaintances complain about the costs of malpractice insurance but they also don't do anything to weed out the bozos that they share their industry with. Sorry just had to vent.
Hi, over from ICLW,
I hope you get your results back quickly and that they are wrong about your tubes. Good luck!
The wait is super annoying. Good luck and keep us posted!
Thank you for visiting my blog and for your kind words.
I too am sorry for what you are going through. It should never be this hard for you or anyone who wants a child so much to have one.
I saw some of your earlier posts talking about your sister-in-law expecting. I have been through that with my in-laws many times over the past 4 years that we have been trying to have another child/a sibling for our almost 5 year old son. Between my two sister-in-laws they will have given birth to three living children in the time it has taken us to try to have one that lived. So I know how it feels when it seems to come so easily for others and not us. Sorry to ramble on... Just trying to relate.
Anyway, hang in there and lots of (((HUGS))) to you.

Visiting from ILCW and so sorry you have this added stress. I'm glad your RE is checking it out personally. Take good care and best wishes from ILCW.

Hopefully waiting won't be too long or frustrating for you, and that you get some good news whatever that may be.
oh my! there is nothing worse than hoping for answers at an appointment and walking away knowing even less than before! I hope they get the films quickly and things get sorted out! iclw
